A New Year's chinook teases us with thoughts of spring.

Of course, we all know this is a tease, but almost every year around this time we get a warm wind that melts a lot of snow and generally makes things pretty sloppy, not to mention the 100 mph winds that hit parts of town.

For weeks before Christmas we had single-digit and below zero temperatures and everything was frozen solid. Then it warmed up and snowed on Christmas Day, and now today we woke up to 49 degrees. So this is what we see...but probably not for long.
