I watched a B&H Photo talk with Mel Di Giacomo, who does some street photography, and took some of his pointers and put them in play. One of the things he talks about for his street photography is he always tries to have several layers or pictures within a picture. I was trying to do that yesterday as well as using the rule of thirds.

As far as the camera goes, I did a lot of research (I recently upgraded my older Panny P&S to this one) and this one seemed the best of the lot for the price. I wanted something with a fast lens (this one starts at 1.4) and a camera that shot in RAW and it has an ISO of 80. It also doesn't hurt that it has a Leica Summilux lens. I'm really pleased with the results.

As I told Blue though, the last one was taken with my iPhone cause the battery in the Lumix had died.

cause the Lumix battery had died by then. I had everything crossed that I could cross when I saw him coming towards me.

I'm actually enjoying the P&S a lot. And I have to admit I wish I'd done a bit more research before buying the dslr. I'm really fascinated with the digital mirrorless cameras.
