(4,059 posts)that you are already getting beautiful spring flowers???? (The house looks like it could be in Pittsburgh...but I don't imagine Pittsburgh has those flowers yet!)

(4,059 posts)I liked it and hated it all at the same time. Its a place with a lot of very entrepreneurial type people. But, its also very insular. Less in the city. An incredible theatre and arts community. I had a weird relationship with Lancaster.

(6,423 posts)When I walk around town I might meet people from anywhere on the planet--the city's known as America's refugee resettlement capital! We were designated a "Welcoming City" in 2019. The surrounding county is mostly rural, white and Republican; the city is cosmopolitan by comparison.

We're few weeks behind here, still having snow squalls passing through. Some leave an inch or two. Some pass through with the sun still shining.

(97,457 posts)I was up around 7,000 for about 15 years before I moved here. I'm in between the high country and the valley floor so I can see into the clouds as often as not.

(154,726 posts)Your photos are so damned good: sharp, clear, great colors and so on. Somehow you seem able to isolate them for incredibly effective photos!
I guess I just have to keep trying!

(6,423 posts)Thanks for the generous compliment. I think we've both improved our skills over the past year or so.
