Pretty easy to run the eraser tool in GIMP and take out the band. Needs a computer.
Put subject into any suitable background.
Often, we have only one angle. Cheating? You decide. Artists have a choice of background, and I consider photography to be an art, though I very rarely modify photos more than minor light adjustments.
