This is the same spider I photographed for my post "A wee beauty". I'd used a handheld camera for that shot, but for this photo I used a monopod to steady the camera. Taken yesterday afternoon in my back yard.

The first photo was brilliant.
But this one is better!
Getting this close makes for better details, and color as well as composition.

These tiny spiders spin delicate webs that move in the slightest of breezes. Getting close, which involves bending or squatting to get beneath the web, was easier on the body when using the monopod.
