Here are the last nightmare pictures from Sunday's Krampuslauft.
For this series I used the built in flash on the camera.
The fill ratios seem very good. Having used flash
back when you had to do your own calculations I was very surprised that the results didn't look harsh or washout features. Somebody has the sensors and programming down.
Where is Little Red Riding hood?

Gotcha!

Today I received my annual 'Birthmas Box" from my dearest friend who invented Birthmas.
The card is a print of a 19th century painting of Krampus chasing children with a bundle of switches and a kid in a basket on his back! We have a weird sense of humor in common.

Camera, I got this about 12 or 14 years ago. Nikon D5200, DX. My binary camera. Camera , lens, and massive 4 gig memory card with sales tax came to: $1,010.10.
I am now using the third lens for it. 18-300 3.5-6.3.
It came with an 18-55. 3.5-5.6. Then I went with the 18-150 3.5-5.6
This lens is ridiculous. 24 to 400 full frame equivalent. Not that slow at the long focal length. It focuses down to just under 18 inches, 46 cm. So you can really fill the frame with flowers or detail.
It does have the occasional lag. Not sure but I think it is a memory driven issue.

(10,579 posts)She also keeps her 18-300 on it all the time. I could tell from her images what a great lens it is. Your images confirm that. She too is fond of the built-in flash.
Good Deal! By the way, where is Little Red Riding Hood??
