Many times we go straight from 9 months of winter to 3 months of hot, humid, summer.

several years, winter coats until just before Memorial Day, then summer two days later. not humid, though, here in our alpine desert. There is almost no snow on the Peak, which means we are screwed for the summer, unless we get some incredible spring storms.
