Related: About this forumFINALLY have the pics up at SmugMug of our Southeast vacation
What with the remodel and all this crazy political stuff going on here, it took me forever to get through these and process the ones I wanted to post, but here they are: http://northernvisions.smugmug.com/Vacation/Southeast-Alaska/30371194_SgdM4F#!i=2616713183&k=vQVxSSV
I hope you all don't mind that I'm posting here the same pictures I posted in my Lounge thread. I've got to get back to scrubbing the kitchen walls in preparation for the new paint and don't have time to upload more pics to PhotoBucket. (By the way, we're closing in on this remodel project. I'll post some pictures when we're done. It's like extreme home makeover.)

(46,436 posts)Here's another shot. Can you spot the kayakers? (Hint: They're to the right of the glacier in front of the rock face, about two-thirds of the way over toward the iceberg.)

I greatly enjoyed these, and your captions.

(46,436 posts)It was really, really a fun trip. I had so many pictures and left a lot of really good ones on the cutting room floor, so to speak. Can't post 'em all, but they're saved for posterity.

(6,154 posts)I really like the feeling of the wide open expanse you get in the 2nd shot and you have captured the sun set beautifully in the 3rd. I also really like the warm colours in the last shot here, looks like you were using a slightly different white balance than the actual conditions to get that look.

(46,436 posts)or possibly "cloudy," but it was early in the morning, before 8:00 so there really was kind of a golden glow to everything. I shoot a lot with WB set on those more warming tones because the way the light is up here, daylight is often too blue.

(6,154 posts)One thing about shooting digital, it's very easy to change the mood of the shot. I too often like to shoot in these warmer tones.
