The other day I posted a photo of an odd deer crossing sign on one of my walks:

Well today I walked along the same section of road and what do I happen to see out of the corner of my eye?
North Vancouver is up against the mountains so there's opportunity for deer but we are also only 10 - 15 mins from downtown, across the bridge, so it's been a very long time since I've actually seen deer here. This was definitely the highlight of today's walk though!

I was surprised to see deer in one of our city parks.

They actually never did bolt. They are obviously used to people enough that they weren't too skittish but were just making sure I didn't get any closer.
