Visiting the Big Island

here are some pic from my walk along the coast. We're south of Hilo. It's very undeveloped here. We went on a walk this morning and met very few people.

Ironwood trees at the start of the trail.

One of my two favorite places in the world. Have never really explored Hilo. Been there a couple of times, ate there one afternoon and had a pretty nice but very casual meal. It was so foggy you could not see more than about 10 feet.

Really seriously investigated moving to the Big Island.

Anyway, beautiful photos! I think I like the last one best.

I am so happy for you - I wish an unforgettable and blissful time - and thank you for any and all photos you share.
I LOVE the last one.
Aloha - I hear the music and see the hula dancers in my mind's eye

It's hard to take a bad photo here. Look in any direction and there is something beautiful to see. There is a large vacant lot next door. That by itself doesn't sound too appealing. However it is overgrown with ferns, orchids and tropical trees of several varieties.

Maybe I'll try to take a bad photo and see what I come up with.
