SEPTEMBER CONTEST - THEME & DETAILS!

The theme for Sept is The Color Purple. We haven't done a color in a while and I don't think we've done Purple. Be creative, if you'd like.

I am under some time constraints this month. We are going on a road trip beginning Sept 15 so I have to get this in the bag by then. I can extend it if there is anyone who would be willing to post the Winners Thread for me. If not this will be a quickie. Let me know!

I will post the Submission Thread on Sept. 4 and hopefully it will fill up fast.

I realize this overlaps some with the Summer Contest so I guess GD will get an extra treat in Sept. Hopefully it will be a slow news month.

your photo was/is timeless.

Purple sounds good and the timing should be ok. Just pm if you have trouble and need someone to help. Trying to think when purple Fridays will begin again around here but can always find purple around here.

An early crowd favorite, it was a well deserved win.
While you take consistantly great pictures, oustanding images like that fall into place only rarely.

Purple huh? I guess I'll have to import something.
Flowers are obvious, but I don't want my entry to get lost among the crowd. Thanx for the early heads-up.

Whatever sparks the creative vision is fine. Maybe go easy on the Purple Haze, though.

10. Combing through photos--found the 'one'! Never realized it had as much purple

first couple of times I looked through the date/trip it was taken.

Boy, Mz Pip, purple is a toughie. I'm all prepared for yellow and orange and red, though!

I don't do much purple... or so I thought... had a free moment and in that moment collected these... also asked son #1-- (visiting for awhile)... how about my elderberries?? (before I make the wine) he suggested that they were more maroon??? anyways... should be fun
