I have always been fearful of spiders. I got bit by one when I was about 7 years old, and have never gotten over my angst.

After years I have been able to ignore them if they are outside. The rule in my house is if they are in my space, they are fair game, eyelashes or not. That rule being anything with eyelashes should not be hunted. I once had to replace the linoleum floor in a rental apartment because I used an oven cleaner to kill a spider. I was too afraid to get any closer than arms length.

When you lean back a gap format between the belly and the pants. I opened an enclosure, a spider dropped out and into that gap. The bite was painful and left a big black blister right below where my belt usually rides. I have my spider issues.

I did have a rather pretty spider in my yarrow bush last summer I named Charlotte. I watched her until it was time to trim, then had my hubby move her down by the water. I did not see him do it, but he promised me he did not harm her.

I went to return a book at the library this a.m. and there was a colossal spider
right on the edge of the drive up book return. Keep saying I'm going to carry
my old camera in my purse--but I didn't have it--oh, well.

You can see her making silk, although I do not see much else of the web.....and I assume the web is there.

Incredible, even if I do hate spiders.
