And was drizzling, and kind of breezy, so I wasn't so steady. The lawn isn't even, its a yard, not a 'lawn,' so footing is not the most stable.

The natural scenery appears to create its own composition, as I've taken a couple pics which have impressed me, and they're among my first pics.

The 'owners manual' is not easily accessed, so I've been reading Samsung's little Quick Start and Reference Guides. Lots to learn!

Probably won't be back there for a bit, weather deteriorating and I have matters to attend to elsewhere, but surely looking forward to getting back!

We've always got our eyes open for the swans. I've been told that there are some that winter over up here on the Kenai River which doesn't freeze up. That's about 100 miles south of here and driving conditions aren't always the best in the winter, so I haven't seen them myself, but I want to sometime. I think they would be beautiful with snow-covered surroundings.

So are yours still hanging around? Get that zoom going.

but should have thought of Swan Lake, I guess!

Sure was surprised when I saw them through my bedroom window this morning. Raced downstairs to get camera! The rule now: Go NOWHERE without camera!

Had to leave cottage this afternoon, have business near town next week, and don't know when I'll return there due to weather, which is due to get pretty chilly (to you, COLD to me) tomorrow and henceforth. Wind on the river aggravates the cold. Sorry about that, as supposed to be sunny tomorrow (actually TODAY here! Happy Saturday!)

And daughter about to give birth (in NJ,) you know about THAT, have to be prepared to head north! (of maryland!)

Nothing interesting around where I am now, DC suburb, but will look around to practice the zoom.

When I drive away from cottage, I pass through corn + soy fields (owned by cottage owner,) and birds are all over them now, huge flocks of somethings small, and geese! The geese fly away as I approach them, but I hope I can catch them with zoom next time! And I often see flocks of somethings on the river, ducks or geese, so will practice when I return!
