I just spent a couple of weeks at an old friend's house on the coast of Ibiza overlooking EsVedra.
I got a few shots of the full moon setting over the sea.

(7,402 posts)Glad you liked the pics. I wish they could convey the caress and the scent of the balmy air.
Swimming in the clear blue sea was wonderful too, but I got stung by a jelly fish, which dampened my enthusiasm for being in the water.

(7,350 posts)I especially like the 3rd and 4th pictures. And it's a full moon, did you get any photos of the sacrifice to Tanit, the Phoenician sea goddess?
trusty elf
(7,402 posts)however, I did visit the Phoenician/Carthaginian necropolis just outside the walls of the old city. There, on display in the museum, is a bust of Tanit which was found in a grave. I have a photo of that.

The ancient coins of Ibiza are interesting too, with their depiction of Bes:

Although these people are sitting on the edge of a sheer vertiginous cliff, it looks almost as if the water were gently lapping right up to their toes.

(8,039 posts)see them on a real monitor instead of a lap top. I can also type a tad bit better. What a place to get some r&r and you capture it so well I feel relaxed just looking at the photos. I started thinking the forst was my fav but decided that I can't really choose just one.
