no cell service at my house so I have to drive a mile or so to a spot where I can transmit work stuff... all the leaf-peepers were out taking photos so I played tourist along with them...

I don't miss New England very often, but for about two weeks every fall. Vermont gets the color earlier than my home state of Massachusetts, which is due in about two weeks. Their color isn't expected to be very good this year due to lack of summer rain. Looks like Vermont got some nice moisture this summer to put on this show.

I grew up in Maine. Left for college way back when; only get back to visit every so often now.
