On a dark and gloomy day...

Our local holiday tree sparkled with Halloween paraphernalia.

I'd be willing to bet that almost every small community has a holiday tree. This one get decorated for Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, valentines day, cinco de Mayo, Easter and probably a few I've forgotten.

Looking toward Madrona, with Spotteswoode Winery in the background.

One of the valley's premier wineries; owned and run by several ladies (all related, I think). They also own a beautiful old mansion just a couple blocks over, on Hudson.

Refinished the wood windows and doors on that stone building a few times (even Spar varnish doesn't stay looking real nice more than about 3 years, especially on that southern exposure) and worked on their house as well.

Nice shot.

There's a Cakebread involved, too. Dynamite Sauvignon Blanc.

That's the corner of Madrone and Hudson. I don't know who does the tree, but it's always a treat to see what they've come up with.
