...at least we got some more rain. This afternoon looks nice and sunny.

I like that second shot, with the trees. I've seen that building, but I can't place it.

EDIT: I'm thinking it's off one of the crossroads, like Oakville or Rutherford. Perhaps Dunaweal Lane. Or, just about anywhere else...

Groth, also known as Taco Bell North. Not my favorite piece of architecture as you might guess. But the trees….

The first and third photo are on Skellinger Lane, off Rutherford Crossroad, looking east. The second is on Oakville Crossroad, about halfway between Silverado Trail and Hwy 29.

time in Calistoga and loved it. Reverie - wine tasting in a redwood grove. Favorite in Napa - Caldwell - taste in cave.

What are your favorite places?

Fun to picnic on their islands and great wine.

You may have to take the "mobilrv2" off for the link to work.

On a very foggy Nov1 I walked up to the school. It was too foggy to see the school, but a line of lit jack o lanterns cut through the fog. Some guys had stolen them and placed them over the entrance to the school. They must have done the deed early in the morning because the candles hadn't burned out.

Adjusting the levels will bring out the 3D feel of the image.

One of the reasons I like that application is I don't have to mess with curves. I really have done myself in with the camera upgrade, though. My antiquated CS4 Photoshop can't deal with the RAW images out of the D7000. Can't see them in Bridge anymore either.

Effects 8 and LightZone, but rarely use them. I have DXO film pack 3 and use it on occasion.

I can't wait to see what Apple's iPhoto/Aperture replacement is like. If it is iPhoto on steroids, I can live with that.

I can do the RAW conversion in GIMP with UFRaw, but getting the colors as I like is easier in iPhoto. Black and White in UFRaw is good.
