Related: About this forumWell, Christmas is over.......and I'm back
Christmas is overI went to Montreal on the rails
I found it deep in snow and ice
and stopped and did a little walking in New York City
In all of this activity I got the flu, am hatching it out in my very own bed at home, and waiting for the January contest to start so I can select a photo from the host of new stuff I brought home with me.
How are all of you doing?

(149,699 posts)I'm sorry you caught the flu; it's a monster this year.
Your pictures are wonderful, and I too love those feet!
I hope your recovery is swift.

(22,757 posts)I noticed there is not much activity from anyone while you are away
you were so close but yet so far away... fortunately, it seems you missed the brutal cold

(22,380 posts)rolling through beautiful Vermont. There were walls of icy drippings on my right and a semi frozen lake on the left, and vice versa depending on where we were going. Told my companions about you, and about the important Democrats that hail from Vermont. My grandson of course remembered you well from your visit to his school.
Brutal cold for us Southerners.
We ended up spending a whole lot of time in Museums:
Montreal Modern Museum of Arts with a special exhibit of Van Gogh and Kandinski
MOMA
The Metropolitan
The Guggenheim from the outside (we got there Thursday when it was closed. Who knew?)
Still deep under the covers, shivering. And glad to be home so I don't have to drag myself along unfamiliar city streets saying: "Aren't I doing well for a sick person?"
