It was socked in with fog here today. Drove over to Mt. Tam for some fog photos, and got this instead:

(130,974 posts)I had one, for my old, long-gone slr, and do wish I had that camera now. Hope to get another, dslr w lens varieties, some day.

(19,459 posts)I often think of your connection to the area when I'm over at the coast.
I'm really wanting a good wide angle lens for my Nikon that doesn't break the bank.

Great shots. Haven't been to My Tam in years.

(19,459 posts)Mt. Tam has so many areas to explore. Lots of beautiful hiking trails, and several nice drives. We like to go to the top, and then take either the road to Bolinas, or the one down to Fairfax. We also like to hike the Steep Ravine trail down to Stinson Beach. Hope to do it this Spring, after I get my leg out of this dumb cast and get through some physical therapy.

(19,459 posts)I severed the anterior tibialis tendon in my ankle/foot. Not fun. My podiatrist would have been very unhappy had he seen me stumping around out there to get these photos, but it was just too nice an evening not to get out of the car.

(19,459 posts)I expected it to be all fogged in, especially this late in the day, but it was very clear (and not too cold).
