I love the 3rd photo. Love the smile and you've captured his joy.

How was dinner?

I made chicken parmesan yesterday, a lot of it. I didn't want to cook today and they know I frown on waste. They ate their leftovers with a smile.

The shirt has probably been washed a few times, so the new shirt itchies should be gone.

I wrap my hands around my morning coffee for the warmth. I have been tempted to toss freshly dried clothes on the bed and wallow in them. My cats always enjoyed doing that. Rolling about in clean clothes. Never the hamper, always the clean stuff. The dogs prefer knocking the hamper over and escaping with socks. Points to the cats for cleanliness but it made more work for me. Not that they cared. My dogs look so happy with their catch I don't have the heart to scold them. Fortunately my old darning ball doesn't mock me like the softener ball does. Every now and then I darn socks and sweaters. 'Cause I can.

were the curved needles, especially the sailmaker needles. I could never make a stitch as beautiful as my dad could.

A few of my needles have a hook on the end but I mostly use straight needles. I bet your Dad could make some beautiful stitches. Mine are functional. Or so my Momma described them. She could stitch well.

He was an avid bowler, and bowled on several leagues. He sewed patches and did the embroidery for the teams. One for his Church of the Advent team, he embroidered their name, "Advent Angels" across the back, and on the tail of the shirts, he embroidered a devil head.

Used them to help keep my tool belt up.

Is that an attack chinchilla in the first picture...

The third pic is a great portrait.

I'd wear the tee shirt too, it reminds me of a Mad fold-in. It wouldn't look as good on me but they say black is slimming so there's that.

And a fabulous day was had by all..
