That's the thing with whale watching or any sort of marine life watching: you NEVER know where or when they'll show up! I have any number of photos of disappearing flukes or fins.

Reminds me of our daughters reaction when she snorkeled with Manatees in Florida. She was giggling so hard, we had to pull her back up on the boat.
