(34,111 posts)I HAVE to learn how to use my good camera. I have caught a few nice shots but it is accidental. I can do automatic or figure it out myself. I have to stop being so lazy!

(130,976 posts)which is a computer, after all. May get another camera, a dslr so I can get closer and broader, and force myself to WORK! Couldn't get sky/stars last night.

(34,111 posts)that is not a phone!! Sorry, been a long day and the wine has kicked in and my judgement is long gone.
I was not aware they made cameras. I sure like my other Samsung gadgets, I bet that is a nice camera.
I stumbled onto a very nice Canon, I am just too dumb to use it. There are classes around here and that is what it would take. One day....one day.
Sorry about that stupid comment. Really. Oh my.

(130,976 posts)May I have your Canon??? HAD a big old Nikon, birthday gift from folks 40? years ago, long gone along with our house, and I miss it's many attributes including several great lenses.
I 'learned' how to use it via owner's manual, but of course wasn't digital so a lot simpler, prolly.

(34,111 posts)I would loan it to you if we were neighbors I stumbled on it and it was on sale. Still a fairly new model at the time, way more camera than I need but something I hope to fully use one day. It took me a while. My husband took it outside a few months ago and forgot to bring it inside and it got rained on. I was so mad and freaked out but I took it apart and put it in a bag with desiccant and it is fine. I don't know how I lucked out that way but oh boy, I was really worried. I hunted for months before I found it at a price I could afford.

(60,074 posts)You can get a used one for under $300, but be sure to check for condition. Only go for Very Good, Like New.
The Samsung 30 mm is a very good prime lens, and the kit lens that come with it is a solid lens.
I had a Samsung film camera, and I was very happy with it.

(130,976 posts)Will probably wait a while, but how's it compare with Canon etc??? (As I said, my FIRST, thanks to folks, was Nikon.)

(60,074 posts)It's pretty too.
Yes, nice looking.

(60,074 posts)I got a Mac and Apple Stock back in the 90's when it was an underdog.
I bought a micro 4/3 camera because it was an innovative insurgent technology.

(60,074 posts)Meter for what you want to emphasize.
One thing you should work on is getting the horizon level. I find I still get it wrong in camera, but fix it in editing
elleng
(130,976 posts)Shocking, right???
I USUALLY remember to raise my elbow to level the horizon, but there are times when I've just run out the door and trying to catch the changing light.
