Up to Medford on Thursday, then back down to San Diego on Saturday. Lots of driving. Hope to get a couple good shots going through the Siskiyou's.

(19,459 posts)Once again, Nature does all the work. It really was an incredible dusk/sunset/evening. The clouds at the upper part of the photo were actually spread back and overhead by what seemed less than 100 ft., sort of like actually being in the sunset itself. The photo doesn't do it justice.

(46,436 posts)That's been especially the case with my aurora shots. It's just impossible to capture the magnificence of them and the feeling of awe when you are in the midst. Nature's like that.

(10,136 posts)Your talk of cropping the foreground got me to thinking that if you cropped off 1/3 of the top, you could do almost a pano format.
