(149,648 posts)The most spectacular is the last one, IMHO. You've caught the wave as it drains down the rocks, and wow! Good action all around.
The others are quieter, but also effective.
Thanks for sharing.

(19,459 posts)off the edge of that one shot so there is only one person in the photo. Can't do anything about it at the moment. 😑

(86,664 posts)I was out there last year about this time... most of my remaining family live in SD or the By area currently. I have lots of old pics of Sunset Cliffs, used to go there often.

(19,459 posts)My oldest daughter and son-in-law moved there about five years ago for their Residency and Fellowships, and my youngest daughter's hubby is from Riverside area. I like it down there (we're up in Fairfield). Beach, desert, mountains, it's all right there.

(86,664 posts)totaling about nine years, I guess. Been all over the county, heck, all over the southern half of the state. I don't travel much anymore but I had to go see my mom in East County area. I have nieces and nephews in the bay area.
There's a whole lot of "there" there no doubt about it! We had a very short time so we made it a whirlwind tour and accomplish all missions on my last trip. I drove from here (western Montana) to Sacramento, took a nap for half an hour, went to dinner and in a nice touring car, my nephew drove the rest of the trip out to Oakland to pick up a niece and blast down the valley, through LA and into the heart of San Diego. We spent two and a half days enjoying our journey to go see my mom and reminisce about when we lived there so long ago and how drastically it has changed. We had blast, went to the harbor and Point Loma, Mt Helix and shopping at Fashion Valley... I wasn't going to go all that way and not pick up a few needed items at a particular place... took 20 minutes and we were outta there.
After our visit we drove back the way we came and I drove home after a good night's sleep in Sacramento. Got home just in time for -20F that night. Glad I wasn't planning to go anywhere for a couple days after that, my vehicle's old and i just gave it a long haul.
Anyway, liked the pictures, made me remember my last visit out there.
