Late Fall in Louisiana

Or...photos I didn't enter.

Toledo Bend, a recreational area that sits in both Louisiana and Texas. Cross the bridge, over the dam, and you're in Texas.

And through the Woods

Bald eagles and flying squirrels. (and the occasional alligator)

We have them around the house (flying squirrels) but I can't seem to catch one doing its thing.

The fox squirrel, like the one pictured, is a bit of a bully. Other squirrels run away from them.

We've got black squirrels as well. I see them all the time.

Thanks.

On a side note, the wild horses are active right now. My husband saw them the other night. They come close to the houses during the rains and feed off the grass. There's a herd of about 20 that roam over several hundred acres. They're protected. I have yet to see them.

Lots of deer though, all around the house.

And that squirrel is cute.

The falling leaf would have been good for "flotation".

Definitely "southern" leaves and colors , too.

You may have gotten the last good colors before that cold bit comes down on us in a day or 2.

Will be few sunny days from now until February.

I don't mind cold as long as it is sunny.
