These are a few more from Jan 29-30 that I wish I had a better position for the capture.

The Mt Holmes shot I wanted, but not quite since I couldn't get my friend to stop at the summit.

Looking East on the 29th (confession: taken through the windshield, I'm shocked that they even came out at all)...

Looking SE from Hwy87. Where the old ski hill and lift used to be at the base of Targhee on the Idaho side.

5. It was chilly...

not below 0 at that point but not much above either. I took the third one at that same time I took the one of the white mountains on another thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/103649120

I was driving that time and pulled in to the pullout at the summit, no traffic so I stood in the middle of the highway and got my shots in both directions, was all the way down before I saw another vehicle.

If it helps you feel better (warmer) I'll tell you first that it was hovering around zero, it had been a bit warmer but once the sun hits the top of the mountains it drops really fast... But I have lots of stuff to keep warm, most of my wardrobe is winterwear, so I was all toasty in my sheep's fleece boots and a insulated bibs and a fluffy down parka, didn't really notice the cold with all that on and I won't get in a vehicle let alone venture out the driveway without heat in the winter unless it's a life/death emergency.

These were well worth the five-fifteen minutes I stood out and took a few nice pictures.
