Close race for 9th and 10th spots for the June Finals...

Currently, there under 4 hours left and an extremely close race for the 9th and 10th spots in the finals. At the time I wrote this, the major contenders for the last spots are:

perigee (25 votes)
Treeptych (24 votes)
Rodeo Beach Sunset (23 votes)
A Final Hurrah (until tomorrow) (23 votes)

Of course, there's still enough time for some of the others in the prelims to overtake these four and seize the last spots in the finals.

1. Are you absolutely sure, HappyCynic

that you would not accept an appointment for permanent host?
In my 4 years of taking part in these contests I have not seen a host intercede and pre-emptively attempt to solve what could be a real problem. Vigilance and responsible hosting at work. For what it's worth, I'm very impressed and I'm learning, should I ever host again.

2. I'm sure

The thought of being permanent host actually scares me a bit. So, I'll gladly pass off the hosting to the winner and let others gain some experience (or if it's an old hand at hosting, then some experience with DU3, not that there's much difference). I'm sure there are others who can (and will) do a better job hosting.
