New tech is always fun....

And since you showed your face, I'll show mine. I would be the very handsome Singer in the center. LOL!

I have held an iPhone in my hands on several occasions and I developed an aversion to it, like other Apple products. I'm just not a Mac guy. My preference is definitely PC/android.

But if you find the iPhone to your liking, that's great.

And I'm now thinking that I will use the camera in the phone in place of my long-defunct point and shoot camera.

Of course, I will continue to do my major photography with my beloved Nikon/Tamron combo!

how far camera phones have come. They can't match top quality digital or film-based camera gear, but for a fraction of the price cellphone cameras produce very good images, and they're only getting better.

Better than some. Can't speak for Apple but Android has apps that give you a lot of creative control including HDR, burst, ISO, and art filters. My Lover likes her S7 because it gets out of her way and let's her compose. We have 3 of her photos decorating the bedroom; two 13x19 and a 11x14. All are sweeping scenes from NM, what the phone is best at.
