A self made ornament and today's Southern Snow

Our neighborhood has begun to make these chicken wire balls, and from afar they look spectacular all through the trees. This closeup is what is going on in my front yard. Not so great, but fun and seasonal for sure.

wrapped around the outsides of the ball. I plan to go through the neighborhood during the season and see if I can show you the splendor of what folks are doing.
Hope it works, I don't know much about how to portray it well.

I live near Longwood Gardens, which puts on a magnificent indoor and outdoor holiday display every year. It's really hard to get a shot that comes close to portraying the beauty, especially outdoors.

I've had some turn out pretty good, but on other nights they came out nothing but blackness with a few dots of light. Maybe I'll post some of the better ones.

I'm sure it would help if I'd use a tripod and find out how to use my camera's settings. I've been meaning to get around to that since I bought it at least a year ago!
