Some monks found significance in just about every feature of the flower that had something to do with Christ's crucifixion.

I think they are native to South America. I know they can go crazy out of control and vine out over EVERYTHING, if you are not careful.

I just love the unique look of the blossom.

and very prolific. Propagate from runners and will spread like crazy! The May Pop is native to the US.

Love me some passion flower of any variety.

The growing season is far too short, in Michigan, for outdoor plants to produce fruit. Towards the end of the growing season I see some sort of 'pod' but then the weather turns cool and the vines all die.
