1. Those are spectacular images.

But my favorite photos of yours are the ones of downtown Raleigh, especially the Episcopal church where I used to attend during my lunch hour when I worked at CP&L at the other end of the mall. I have a Japanese maple in my yard grown from a seedling gathered beneath the large Japanese maple on the mall. Ah your photos bring me fond memories.

I'll have to look for that Japanese maple!

Haven't been walking as much with the camera. Going to have a hip replacement in September, so minimizing my steps at this point.

5. That Japanese maple was huge.

If I recall correctly it was down by Martin Street. I wonder if it's still there. I left Raleigh 25 years ago. Wow how time flies. My baby tree is now 25 years old and "only" about 15 feet tall. The Mall Maple was much taller than that.

My sympathies about need for hip replacement. I hope the surgery goes well and leaves you able to walk comfortably again.
