Moral of the story: be prepared. Always.

I generally never leave the house without at least a P&S, today I did.

Fortunately enough, I have a phone that takes photos well enough.

As a thunderstorm supercell line moved in, I managed to snap a few photos...

There was a brief instance of mammatus clouds forming (last image), a particuarly rare phenomenon that didn't fully materialize...








All in a matter of three minutes or less, hardly enough time to compose any of the shots...

The "winged" building in that first shot definitely compliments the clouds.

Is this in the Midwest somewhere? it has that feel.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that I've gotten some very satisfying results with my i-phone camera.

Skies like these just don't happen here.

It stopped a lot of pedestrians in their tracks this morning...
