Go-Pro advice?

Any one here have any experience with a Go-Pro? I'm heading out on vacation within the next few days and am seriously thinking about purchasing one. The under water / water proof feature is very important.

If you have any experience with one, which model would you recommend.

Is editing easy / intuitive?

Are accessories necessary with first purchase?

With first purchase, what accessories do you think are important.

Thanks.

It comes with all the basic accessories you may need, but that really depends on how you want to mount it. If you want to use it with a stick or some other special mount, then you’ll need to buy that separately. You also may need more memory cards and batteries. The memory card requirements are pretty tight so you’ll want to go with one they recommend. Cards at the maximum capacity tend to be hit and miss. Better to go with something in the middle.

It’s fairly easy to get started with, but my advice on any new camera is don’t buy one right before you go on vacation. You really need to make sure you have the operation down as learning while on vacation is never a good idea.
