At home and bored so I'm wading through the legendary complexity of my OMD EM1 MK II menu.

Yeah, I'll admit that the Oly pro cameras are a bit more complex than most but, hey, you can make the camera anticipate your thoughts if ya can just find the right menu.

So I figured out Focus stacking. It will shoot 15 images at slightly different focal points and combine them into a single image and if the shutter speed is fast enough you can do it handheld. So I get this pretty nice image of a bug on a thistle bud. Now for the post processing.

Just 'cause I'm bored I took a crop that would represent a 5 ft x 7 ft print from the original 20 mpxl file and printed it to 8.5 x 11. Pixelated pretty bad but from the appropriate viewing distance (10 feet or so) it would be acceptable. So I thought I'd resize it to a higher pixel count. What the heck, let's see how much Paintshop Pro will resize. Went to the max of 31000 x 40000 pixels. If my math is right that's 1.2 billion pixels.

Viewed it at max enlargement on the monitor after the 15 minute resizing time and it looked really nice but could use a little sharpening. Clicked on 10% and pressed go. Computer has been running for 35 minutes and it hasn't finished yet. In fact the progress bar just appeared at the bottom of the screen.

I don't think I'll go past 100 mpxl in the future . . .

I'll try to post something later, much later.
