I spent a morning with a green heron this week

I stalked it from a fishing pier to the rocks. While at the rocks it never saw me, and was just a few feet away. Fortunately I was in a comfortable position sitting on a rock, and just snapped away for almost an hour.

They're all wonderful, but that last one is spectacular. Well worth the hour sitting on a rock.
