(14,559 posts)Being night hunters they use sound more than sight. One ear is located higher on the head than the other so they can tri-angulate prey both vertically as well as horizontally.
Cool pic and interesting find.

(14,559 posts)I had a great time a few years back shooting pelicans on the bayous in west coast Florida. Can't imagine what results I'd have if I had the equipment I have now! Back then it was bear rugs and stone axes (Star Trek reference).

(51,460 posts)National parks, and gone for almost 7 weeks. I took over 6500 photos. Almost all were of the wildlife. Where were you? Did you see any white rhinos?
