the planets are with a cheap telescope i bough severl years ago at costco. i used a 3x barlow lens (like a teleconverter) plus an aold sony a6000 camera for a combined effective focal length of 4050mm

the moon is with the scope and no barlow lens

the nebula is with a 250mm f4.9 lens on the sony a6000
its a total of a 3 hour exposure (120 90 second shots) plus calibration shots

all taken just outside of Austin Texas

I was out looking at the sky last night with just my eyeballs. Even without magnification, it's an amazing sight.
