Probably just a brand change and expect US and Euro stores/websites to follow. Could be a prelude to the next camera???

1. It could well be that! Or a well-deserved rest over the holidays for the employees.

Hard to say, unless you know about their traditions at this time of year.

2. Japan isn't a 'Christian' country but shopping habits carry over

so I suspect it's a considered decision. They have to dump the Olympus name and change to OM Systems eventually so just before a major announcement would make sense.

But then they've been talking smack so long who knows??

I'm keeping an eye out to the SW to see if I can glimpse the very slender new moon. The sun just set........fingers crossed!
