I figured out was when I got up to get a drink ,or caused motion to transfer to the screen I just didnt see him move.

After the third time retouching the second "spot"I finally saw him move. So I grabbed my monitor with one hand and slapped my monitor with my other hand. By time I slapped I was pretty irritated and that was the end of that gnat. Used a kleenex to wipe his remains off my screen. It was summer in the evening so I shut my window and turned on the AC. No more gnats.
