It was pretty much accidental! Picking up my iPhone was deliberate, though.

The lighting was what caught my eye too. As you can see, the sunlight was coming in from the left and that angle just said: "Take my picture!"

So I did.

Sunlight through a window from the side.

I use it in my drawings, it's sets mood and character for the image in a way no other element can whether it's color or B&W.

The green stem indicates a left-handed person did the chopping,...

the position of the root end indicates a right handed person held the chopping knife.

I suspect the photographer re-positioned the green stems after chopping the carrots to better place them on the chopping board after chopping the carrots was done.

I vote the chopper was right-handed.

I am a little ambidextrous, though that didn't play a role in this event.

I chopped the tops off with my right hand.

There was no repositioning of the carrots.

That did lead to the occasional problem of not remembering which was which! Not so much, these days, though.

I chopped the carrots with my right hand.

Mmmm....I like your consequences!

In fact, my carrots went into the pot with all the fixings for beef stew!

And that carrot cake recipe! Oh god.........looks amazingly delicious. It's one of my favorite cakes.

Thank you!

Carnage? Hardly! That word relates to the latin word carne from meat.

Reference:
englishconversations.org/2017/01/22/vocabulary-carnage/

Carnage is Destruction. The word “carnage” has a Latin root and it comes from the word “carne”, which means “meat” or “flesh”.

I do get your meaning!

I'm glad you like my photo!

And thank you for your kind remarks!

Well, no, the carrots went into my beef stew. No commercials for these folks, and no curves either!

BTW, I LOVE your entry in this month's contest! Those falls sure do look dangerous, but beautiful as well. A great shot!

I am glad that you're picking that up. There is beauty all around us for sure.

Since I've gotten more into photography, my eye has gotten a lot more observant.

Some days, all I see are possible photos!
