Neat resource for Zuikophiles! (Oly 4/3 shooters)

Youtube has an Olympus page strictly for us Zuikophiles. It was born out of the pandemic lock down. Search for Home with Olympus. Most of the vids are one to 1.5 hours and range from wildlife to macro to specific menu features. Anyway I discovered this tip in a macro lecture: the 1.4 & 2x extenders are made to fit specific long lenses BUT this guy used a 16mm extension tube to allow use with the 60mm macro! I needed to enlarge the opening in the tube but it works and maintains all functions!

Really cool. The 60 macro focuses to about 3 inches and can go 1:1 or a field of view of 17mm on the long side. Using it with the 16mm tube it covers about 12mm. Couple that with the 1.4 (makes for an 84mm macro) and the long side is only 6mm! Now use the digital 2x and you're down to 3mm on the long side. That's about 6:1 magnification and it maintains all functions; ttl flash, auto focus, focus stacking etc.

Here are first experiments to illustrate magnification:

Subject 'full size'

60 macro 1:1--17mm long side

60 macro with 16mm tube--about 12 mm long side

Macro with tube and 1.4x--6mm long side

Macro with tube, 1.4x and digital 2x--3mm long side

Not my best work but for illustration only.

I know the other brands have similar resources and I hope those shooters share what they find as well.
