(149,616 posts)3. You need to have a website that is a photo hosting site.
We all used to use Photobucket, but they went nuts with their fees.
I use SmugMug.com. It's fairly simple to navigate and then you can post your photo onto DU.

You need to share.
From a 2019 post on medium:
Whenever you share a photo with a specific person or account on Google Photos, it creates a link that will allow anyone in the world to view those photos, forever, until you go and manually deactivate that link in an obscure part of the interface.
Anyone, correct me if this is not the case.
