(149,297 posts)It really turned out.
It shows what can be done in post-processing.
That's one of the glories of digital photography. Can you imagine waiting for the film to be processed? I sure can!

3 year anniversary of departed husband.
Please do not feel bad. Your photos are timely, divine and blessed me so.

(149,297 posts)Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your departed husband. It is such a grievous place.
I just love your interpretation of the two photos! I am honored that you found them a blessing.
If you would like to have the original files, let me know and I will email them to you. It would be my privilege.

(20,133 posts)You would do that? I'll frame them. A beautiful remembrance/commemoration. Divinely ordained.
I love you people. Yes, I have a 'circle', but most are absorbed with their lives. And it's understandable.
DU is my link to real time interaction with others. I don't participate on social media. Nothing against it. It's just me.
I'll PM you as soon as. Gotta p/u a grocery order now.
Love to you and yours, my sister in humanity.

(4,191 posts)I love the second one for its balance but the first one depicts natures spacing and the blooms delicate features, plus more roses. Thats always a good thing. Beautiful as always, Peggy.
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,297 posts)I love them both, but I keep wanting to choose just one! And I can't.
Thanks for your wonderful comments.

(4,334 posts)I went to the nursery yesterday for a "flower fix." Potted roses have arrived for early planting, and there were many pink, red, apricot, and just a few purple/lavender varieties of hybrid teas. I recognized many names: Peace, Double Delight, Dolly Parton, Angel et al... (I once had a rose garden of 50 plants--not so in my apt home). The one plant in my patio bed, a double hot pink "knock out" variety is on its last legs, and I need to replace it and move location slightly out from under a lilac for more sun - yesterday I was drawn to an apricot hybrid tea--now I may chose a lovely light pink one in remembrance. I miss my roses...
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,297 posts)I used to have roses all along the back yard wall, where there was plentiful sun. Ah, so long ago...
My current yard has a lot of large shrubs and trees, where there isn't much sun at all. The roses wouldn't like it here.
These are in the yard next door and I have long wanted to photograph them. Yesterday was my chance!
I hope your remembrance rose will bloom and thrive for many years...
