One bone to pick with the pundits - the Night King is wicked smart evil. This ain't his first rodeo - or first dragons. Probably "knows" as much as the "Three-Eyed Raven," too.
Seems he has a particular personal issue with John Snow.

Breathes an icy substance that freezes to nearly impossible cold in a fraction of a second. The opposite of the fire dragons.
