I got to see the final episodes ahead of time during the British run. Despite the loss of Aunt Joan, it was a nice final season (series).

I read that she died before I ever saw any episodes from the last season... Sorry... Frankly, I was glad to know so that I wouldn't be disappointed when she didn't appear. She was always one of my favs on the show.

Doc Martin - - - possible spoilers.

I like this program so much I'm watching again, from series one, episode 1

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doc_Martin_episodes

Some of the thing I enjoy about this TV show are:

Cars are backwards; driver is on the wrong side

The village Portwenn looks live someplace I would enjoy living

The road from Portwenn to Auntie Joan's farm is one vehicle wide

Door knobs in the center of doors sure look odd

The Large father and son

------

They started the fifth season last fall.

My PBS station never keeps a set time to show it so I always forget about it.

If you have Netflix, they have the first four seasons.

Wish the PBS stations around here would get it together so there is some order to it. I've seen Louisa have their baby twice but out of seqence. The on screen guide had a blurb about coping w/ the loss of Aunt Joan but it wasn't the one shown.

I wish they were still making Foyle's War. I love that series.

The on screen guide said 'coping with the loss of Aunt Joan'. But the episode was not shown, so I have no idea - Did the actress playing her pass away? I can't imagine writing her out of the program. Other than the one time Martin's parents show up, she is the only family we know about.

the series. Love It! Martin has other family from his dad's side and she is great. Fits right into the series. Last season is supposed to air on PBS in November, but Martin Clunes has said that every year - this season/series will be the last, so we'll see.

But like it a lot. Quirky English village reminds me a bit of "Northern Exposure." Clunes plays such an unpleasant person, yet it's hard not to like him somehow. And one I saw him in the "William and Mary" series from BBC also, where he is so nice and personable, I realized he is really a fine actor he must be.

The last one I remember was when the baby was kidnapped by the loony pharmacist.. I like the show, but it;s hard to get continuity when there's such a gap
