A very good episode aired last night. But I am thinking they tipped a big deal last night. After looking over the bodies of two zombie cops he and Rick killed, Shane noticed that neither had a bite mark. Shane said they had to have been scratched. And they both let it drop.
Thats not just chit chat, that is a MJOR plot point that is about to hit. I ask for no spoilers only because I have never read the source material for this show, and while I understand that it is different from the TV show, I don't want to know anything about what happens next in the comics.

(6,539 posts)I also suspect that Beth Greene was scratched by Annette in the barnyard.
What's with Rick turning into Hershel "my house, my farm, my rules" Greene?
"My wife, my child, my unborn baby" - twice.

I think the CDC doc told him about Lori being pregnant, and at that point, it would have been too soon to have been Rick's, imho.

(4,851 posts)The context of him telling Morgan makes it unlikely it was Lori's pregnancy. After they left the CDC, Rick made one last "broadcast" to Morgan from the top of a building. He says to Morgan that the CDC doctor told him ... well it doesn't matter what he said. I don't think it was about Lori. I think it was about the disease. I think its possible that the disease is airborn and everyone that dies will be reanimated. You only get the fever from a bite or a scratch, but even if you have a heart attack, you are a zombie.
But heck, I could be wrong about what the doc said. I'm sure we will find out. Either way, I think Rick knows its probably not his baby.

(6,539 posts)I should have done so right before season two started.
And Lennie James (Morgan) is a treasure - I hope there's a way to work him back in. I loved him in Jericho.

(3,626 posts)he's clearly surprised that she is pregnant which he obviously wouldn't be if he knew from the start.
I am guessing that what he was told has something to do with the extent of the outbreak, either positive or more likely negative.
I want to think the whole no bites thing is a major plot point, but it could also be a red herring.
