Sara Haines is leaving 'The View'

“The View” co-host Sara Haines will leave the show to join Michael Strahan on the new third hour of “Good Morning America” in September, Page Six has exclusively learned.

Her exit from “The View” comes on the heels of news that co-host Paula Faris will leave the show as well as her job at “GMA” as weekend anchor.

ABC News announced in May that it would launch a third hour of “GMA,” when it also canceled its daytime foodie show “The Chew.”

And I know Joy Behar had a problem with Sara repeatedly poking or hitting her arm.

Sara would hit Joy in the arm;
Joy would ask her to not do it;
and Sara would laugh her head off.

The View even had to get a longer table to put more space between them.

She had a good voice of reason, but I shudder to think who’ll they’ll bring in to replace her. Meghan is awful and we need a good counterweight against her.

I heard the rumor the other day that a host was leaving and I hoped it was Meghan.

Three years ago? She would have been a somewhat reasonable counterweight to the left leaning side of the table. These days she fits in with the rest very easily since it's anti-trump.

I like when they rotate a host or have a guest host. Nothing against her, but I feel like Haines just didn't add the much to the mix.
