"Peaky Blinders" watchers...

I have just begun episode one and although it's supposed to be great, I just cannot seem to get into it. Should I give it an episode or two?

1. I've tried it a few times because of the glowing reviews. Always get to about episode 2 or 3 and

think, "Why am I putting myself through this?"

I'm well into Boardwalk Empire, though, and enjoying it a lot. (Similar period.)

4. I liked Boardwalk, though a bit less after a major character was killed off.

Then again, I like "period" dramas.
