Doctor Who: Eve Of The Daleks - Trailer - BBC

The first of three specials to end the Jodie Whittaker run as the Doctor. There has been a lot of pissing and moaning ever since she was announced but I. for one, have though the run to be pretty damn good overall. Can't wait to see how they wrap it up and who the next Doctor will be.

I hated David Capaldi too, but Peter Capaldi is my favorite. Crunchy Frog Dec 2021 #4

I agree. This most recent season has really shown what Whittaker can do. Lifelong Who fan here and I know it's the nature of the show, but I'll be really sad when her era ends, especially after so few episodes. I think she's been a great ambassador for the show and a really good Doctor. I'm sick to death of the miserable fans who have looked for and invented things to complained endlessly about since she was announced.

Her energy and enthusiasm in the role harken back to Matt Smith and David Tenant's portrayals. I honestly couldn't stand David Capaldi as Doctor Depressed. I don't know how much of his dismal incarnation was due to the writing and direction vs. his casting, but Jodie Whittaker was a welcome relief.

On the other hand, the new companion introduced in the 6 episode Flux series brought very little to the mix. The young pilots who were trying to get back to each other were much more interesting characters.

I'll miss her. The whiney incels never tried to give her a chance. They can pound sand.
