An MST3K appreciation thread!

I love that show and most of the shows that grew out of it. I especially enjoy the first 4 1/2 seasons with Joel as the host. I also enjoyed Cinematic Titanic and The Film Crew. I don't think RiffTrax is as witty, but it's still worth watching.

Any other shows like these I should look into?

Now they're doing their own streaming service called the Gizmoplex. I'm a member, but I just haven't had time to check it out.

I got to meet Joel, Trace, Frank, Elvis, and Mary Beth at a live Cinematic Titanic. I'm a balloon twister so I made a life-sized Crow and Tom Servo. Joel was very interested asking if there were videos that showed how to do that and was impressed when I said I just threw it together in my motel room a few hours before coming to the show.

I also gave Felicia Day a Tom, Crow, and a small Kinga sculpture at a con.

I still have to watch 3 or 4 episodes to get caught up. I think they're pretty good. But no one is as funny as Joel. I hope they keep it going. That kind of humor never gets old, IMO.

Jonah and the Bots did skits, but then the movie and their riffing was obviously recorded. Emily stayed on stage with the bots, live riffing.

This would have been at the RO Music Theater in early 2010. I remember there was a little snow on the ground the next day as we walked around the Detroit Zoo. Joel, Frank, Trace, Mary Joe and Elvis were there. I had been corresponding with Trace's wife, she coordinated DVD sales and such, so I had been speaking with her on occasion about an order. We were going through the reception line and I mentioned to Trace that I had been talking to his wife and to say 'hi' to her for me. He got this real puzzled look on his face, so much so I laughed out loud and then explained profusely, with my wife looking on amused, that it had only been about business

that not even Shakespeare is safe from these guys. It makes for one of the most hilarious episodes of the show, and one of my most favorite re-watches.

"Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster". I think there were copywriter issues. Now I've finally seen every episode! Found it on a very cool site--The Internet Archive.
